These terms apply to your use of the CET applicant portal of Sulu State University (the “University”). By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Your account
- Create only one account, using an email address that you own and can open.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell the CET Office right away if you think someone else has used your account.
2. Your application
- Everything you enter, including your photo, signature and school records, must be true, complete and your own.
- False, incomplete or misleading information, or applying on behalf of someone else, may lead to your application, exam result or admission being cancelled.
- Creating an account or submitting an application does not guarantee an exam schedule, a passing result or admission.
3. Exam schedule and results
- Your exam date, room and time are assigned by the University and may change. Check your account and email for updates.
- Results shown in the portal are for your information. The official record is kept by the University.
4. Proper use
Do not try to access other applicants' accounts or data, interfere with the portal, or use automated tools against it. The University may suspend or disable an account that breaks these terms.
5. Changes
The University may update these terms. The version shown on this page is the one that applies.
Privacy Notice
Sulu State University (the “University”) respects your privacy and processes your personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission.
What we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), sign-in history and IP address.
- Application: name, LRN, date and place of birth, age, sex, civil status, religion, ethnicity, nationality, address, contact numbers, photo and signature.
- Education: schools attended, track or strand, general average and chosen programs.
- Family: names, occupations and contact numbers of your parents or guardian, family monthly income and emergency contact.
- Exam: your schedule, attendance and test results.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and confirm your email address.
- To process your application and assign your exam schedule.
- To release your results and evaluate you for admission and program placement.
- To send you notices about your application, exam and results.
- For billing under the Free Higher Education program (RA 10931), statistics and reports required by CHED and other government agencies.
Who can see it
Only authorized University personnel who need it for admission, testing and related work. We share data with government agencies only when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed for admission and the purposes above, and as required by the University's records retention rules. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
How we protect it
We use access controls, encrypted passwords and secure connections, and limit access to authorized staff.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, and to damages. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
